New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science Website
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science In 2015 I rebuilt the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science's website using Drupal 7. I was the general administrator for the site for about a year before studying the Google Analytics data and coming to the conclusion that it was time to change. There was a very high bounce rate, and the performance was terrible on mobile phones.
The original website also had a number of issues due to its age - it used MODx for content management which had lackluster support. The design was some 10 years old, so it was not responsive.
I built the site using the Zurb Foundation base theme for Drupal and the graphic design was done in-house. The new design has shown marked improvement in the Google Analytics data in terms of dwell time and bounce rate, and it is easier to update for the staff. I still do administrative tasks on it from time to time.
